FYI, I can’t see the questions on this page. looks like the text is the same color as the background, maybe? Doesn’t seem to bother others though, so I guess it’s just me.
I did take the quiz by following the link to the original site. Shockingly, I went 10 for 10.
My first visit to your site Mike. Love it, and this quiz. You really know how to engage a writer as well as a reader. I won 10 for 10, but I'm a movie fan (I hope to adapt my novel to a screenplay). Signed up on your email list. Looking forward to everything you can teach me.
Mike, you should run another quiz of misleading synopses--like where you describe Alice in Wonderland as a girl "who kills the first person she finds." That'd be fun!
Mike, you need to change the verbiage in this quiz for question 6.
ReplyDeleteMichael Corleone is the YOUNGEST SON and not the eldest. "Sonny" was the eldest son of Don Corleone.
Great quiz. Enjoying your site.
Thanks for catching that error!
ReplyDeleteFun. What's scary is the fact that I know about so many movies, like The Firm, that I've never actually seen.
ReplyDeleteI got 8 out of 10. Not bad, or maybe not "good."
ReplyDeleteI did poorly by second guessing myself......
ReplyDeleteWhy do I do that??? 5/10
7 out of 10. I surprised myself. Your formula really works!
ReplyDeleteGreat quiz, 5/10. I want to know how you created this quiz in the first place.
ReplyDeleteDid bad :( havnt watched some of the movies bt actually read the novel like The firm :)
ReplyDeleteOnly 9 out of 10, damnit. Never heard of Annie Hall. Can't resist a quiz despite the long to-do list.
ReplyDeleteInteresting quiz and test of synopsis. It led to several answers even though I had not read them.
ReplyDeleteI got 20% not bad not great! Need to bore myself to death with more films I think!

ReplyDeleteI liked the quiz and I'm applying the steps to writing my own two sentence synopsis. Thamks
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Denise, glad the post was helpful and good luck with your synopsis!
ReplyDelete10/10. Annie Hall was a close-run thing.
